Title : The patients individual risk profile and the healthcare budget define the care
Abstract:
The individual risk profile of the patient and the health added value of the interventions define the affordability of health care.
1. The re-allocation of resources guarantees the financial viability of healthcare.
2. Re-allocation is based on evidence of objective proof of principle (POP), real-world effectiveness (RWE), and subjective value (VAL). The suitability of all AI products must be confirmed by compliance with the designer rule “Form Follows Function”.
3. Progress will be supported by:
a. Three-dimensional measurement of POP, RWE, and VAL.
b. Evaluation of the risk-dependent added value instead of the production costs.
c. A third form of care, the Pragmatic Controlled Trial (PCT), complementing the existing
care as usual (CAU) and the Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT).
d. Structured scientific questions clarify the answers obtained.
e. “Truncated RCTs” accelerating POP and reducing their costs.
f. The three-dimensional Cube of Clinical Care (CCC) replacing the one-dimensional
pyramid of levels of evidence.
g. Professional separation of supply and documentation.
h. No more needed additional support of health budgets.
